Welcome to Pridy ("we," "our," or "us"). Pridy is a social networking and matchmaking platform designed for the LGBTQ+ community, operated by Pridy Inc. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe, secure, and authentic environment for all our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Pridy mobile application and our website located at pridy.net (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information to provide a highly personalized, "vibe-based" matchmaking experience. This includes:
A. Information You Provide to Us Directly
Account Registration & Authentication: When you create an account, you can register using third-party authentication services, including Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, and via Email. We collect basic identifier data associated with these accounts (such as email address, name, and unique provider identifiers).
Profile Information: To enrich your experience, you may voluntarily provide personalized information, including:
- Gender identity, pronouns, sexual orientation, and preferred dating preferences/positions (e.g., Top, Bottom, Versatile).
- Lifestyle habits (e.g., smoking, drinking, drugs, workout, diet, sleep schedule).
- Ethnicity, body type, height, weight, and zodiac signs.
- Interests, photos, and personalized text/voice prompts.
Audio and Text Expressions ("Drop a Line"): We collect and process the short voice notes (up to 15 seconds) or customized text statements you record/write and pin to your profile.
Today’s Vibes: We process the temporary real-time "vibe" status (e.g., Chill, Party, Deep, Flirty, Outdoor, Creative) you select to filter and display your profile to other users.
B. Information Collected Automatically
Geolocation and Distance Data: With your explicit permission, we collect your precise GPS location coordinates to power our "Play" and "Vibes" search filters. This allows the application to calculate and display user proximity based on kilometers (km) or miles.
Alternative Manual Entry: If you choose to deny continuous GPS location access, you can manually input your current city. Your discovery filters will adapt accordingly, though distance-based precise metrics (km/miles) will be limited to protect privacy and function correctly within user-defined parameters.
Chat and Communication Data: We process messages, photos, and audio clips sent within the in-app chat. To foster active interactions, chats initiated via mutual signals expire after 24 hours of inactivity.
In-App Real-Time Translation: To bridge communication gaps in our core launch markets (English, Spanish, Portuguese), messages may be securely processed through automated translation protocols to render text in real-time.
Usage and Device Information: We automatically collect technical logs, including IP addresses, unique device IDs, operating system versions, and app usage metrics to ensure security and app stability.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the collected data for the following essential purposes:
- To Deliver the Core Service: To authenticate your identity, set up your profile, and pair you with relevant users based on geolocation, distance algorithms (km/miles), mutual preferences, and "vibes."
- To Enable Real-Time Features: To process in-app translations, transmit voice notes, and manage the 24-hour conversational countdown.
- To Enhance Safety and Security: To detect and prevent fraud, harassment, spam, and unauthorized access, allowing our 24/7 moderation team to review flagged activities and maintain a safe ecosystem for the queer community.
- To Improve the Service: To analyze usage patterns, optimize UI/UX flows, and roll out system enhancements.
3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal data. Because Pridy is a social platform, your information is shared only under the following conditions:
- With Other Users: Your public profile data (photos, bio, gender, pronoun, lifestyle, vibe, voice notes) is visible to other users on the platform based on your discovery and filter settings.
- Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (such as cloud hosting, translation service components, and crash-reporting tools). These providers are legally bound to protect your data.
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency) to protect human safety and community guidelines.
4. DATA RETENTION & DELETION
Account Deletion: You have the right to delete your account at any time directly through the in-app settings menu. Upon deletion, your profile, matches, messages, and voice notes will be permanently removed or irreversibly anonymized from our production databases.
Temporary Data: Expired chat history (due to the 24-hour countdown rule) and temporary daily "vibes" are automatically moved or purged systematically according to our technical maintenance cycles.
5. SECURITY OF YOUR DATA
The security of your personal data is a top priority for us. We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures (including operational encryption protocols) to protect your sensitive attributes against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
6. CHILD SAFETY STANDARDS & CSAE/CSAM POLICY
PRIDY Inc. operates "Pridy: LGBTQIA+ Community" with a zero-tolerance policy regarding any form of child exploitation, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSAE). The safety of minors is our absolute priority.
Absolute Prohibition of CSAE and CSAM
The creation, upload, distribution, sharing, or facilitation of any content related to Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSAE)—including inappropriate interactions with children, online grooming, sexualization of minors, sextortion, and child trafficking—is strictly prohibited on Pridy. Users violating this policy will be permanently banned immediately without warning.
User Feedback & In-App Reporting Mechanisms
Pridy provides clear and accessible in-app reporting tools for users to voice concerns, provide feedback, or report child safety violations. Any suspicious user or content can be reported instantly within the app to notify our safety team.
Handling and Removal of CSAM
Pridy operates with a strict content moderation queue. Upon detection or receipt of a user report regarding CSAM, PRIDY Inc. will take immediate action to remove the prohibited material entirely from our platform in accordance with our published standards and applicable laws.
Compliance with Child Protection Laws & Reporting Process
PRIDY Inc. complies fully with all applicable child protection laws and regulations. In the event that confirmed CSAM is identified on our platform, we maintain a strict process to preserve the data and report the instance directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and appropriate law enforcement authorities.
Dedicated Contact for Child Safety Concerns
We have a designated representative who holds the authority to review, enforce, and execute immediate actions regarding CSAE/CSAM notices from Google Play or legal authorities. For any child safety matters, please contact us at: info@pridy.net
7. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Pridy operates globally, with an initial focus on America and Europe. Your data may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your state, province, or country, where privacy laws may differ. By using the app, you consent to these cross-border transfers in compliance with international data security standards.
